Clearly, the COVID “pandemic” is not intended to be a passing emergency but a ruse to impose a “new normal” corresponding to the UN’s Agenda 30.
The dystopian future is taking shape. Mass gatherings have been canceled.  We must experience the world on a TV screen. The NFL plays in front of a cardboard crowd to sound effects. 
Millions are stuck at home, working “remotely,” or paid to do nothing. (Will they ever agree to work again?)
Restaurants and other businesses in urban centers are going bust. 
Students are deprived of the society of their peers, forced to take their courses online. Many are confined to their dorms without proper provisions. Attending classes remotely is like ordering take-out from Hooters.  
Everyone is required to wear filthy masks.
Locally, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet canceled their annual Nutcracker ballet, scheduled for Christmas. Imagine hundreds of artists out of jobs.

There is talk that Christmas gatherings may be canceled. Every source of solace or happiness is being shut down.
At the local Safeway, the lounge where old folk enjoyed their Timbits and coffee has been closed. They have nowhere to go.
Montreal residents won’t be allowed to visit friends or family at home for most of October or eat out at their favorite restaurant as the provincial government struggles to slow the surge of new coronavirus cases. All bars, casinos, and restaurants are closed (takeout only). Libraries, museums, cinemas, and theatres will also be closed. Being less than two meters apart will be prohibited. Masks will be mandatory during demonstrations. Houses of worship and venues for events, such as funerals and weddings, will have a 25-person limit. Hair salons, hotels, and other such businesses will stay open. Schools will remain open.”
For 16 million people in Northeast England, pubs and restaurants can stay open, but it will be illegal to go for a drink with a member of another household or visit them at their home from Wednesday.
Roughly 100 students at the University of Western Ontario were referred for investigation under the school’s code of conduct after campus police broke up parties in university residences on the weekend.

Meanwhile, Main Street is boarded up.  “The housebound are nimbly pivoting to virtual social gatherings,” The New York Times reports. “They’re holding birthday parties and bar mitzvahs over video chat, broadcasting D.J. sets and streaming concerts (some from the luxurious confines of celebrity homes), and establishing quarantine movie nights on Twitter for “virtual companionship.”

A lot of communal events are taking place on Zoom, a videoconferencing app now being used by many classrooms and businesses (thus transforming it into one of the few companies doing well on the stock market). But it’s not just Zoom.

There are, for example, a small but highly vocal number of people gathering in the digital plazas, pet stores, and pizza shops of Club Penguin Online. There are happy hours being held on Google Hangout, and poker games taking place over FaceTime. There are flute meditation sessions on Instagram and thousands of people participating in dance raves that are broadcast on Twitch.It’s a lot for the internet. On Monday, Discord, the chat app popular with gamers, announced that it would increase its capacity by 20 percent to keep up with demand; it crashed shortly thereafter.”
CONCLUSION
The plan is to dehumanize us in advance of full-blown tyranny. The scary part is that the masses still think the “authorities” have their best interests at heart. The medical profession, media, and politicians are all taking their orders from the Rockefellers. This psyop is an egregious betrayal of trust from which society will not recover unless the traitors are all sent packing.

In the looming shadow of uncertainty, a question resonates among the digital whisperers: How long does EBS truly last? The consensus varies, suggesting anything between 48 to 72 hours. Yet, with clouds of doubt enveloping us, the only certainty is the minimum: 48 hours.

Memories of previous discussions, stockpiling, and concerns about food security arise, emphasizing the importance of non-perishable foods. In times like these, dehydration and freeze drying might be our salvation.

But amidst the chatter, a controversial query emerges: Will the GITMO exam be broadcast on EBS? The question ignites heated discussions among those in the know. Concerns about the younger generation, who are more plugged in than ever, are raised. Do we want our children exposed to such realities? The gravity of the situation is not about protecting the adult public; it’s about safeguarding the innocence of the young.

And what of our devices during EBS? With phones becoming our lifelines, their functionality might be compromised, from limited browsing capabilities to potential email blocks. In this tense atmosphere, overloaded networks and power outages could be the norm.

The directive is clear: Once EBS kicks in, all must return to their ‘home‘ – their current location, whether it’s a vacation spot, relative’s house, or otherwise. NESARA/GESARA: Why World Finance Will Never Be the Same Again!

Some say it’s cowardly and unpatriotic to abandon a sinking ship and escape to a better setting. I agree. I would like to stay until the last minute. The thing is that you’ll never know for sure when it’s your last train.

Jews who left Germany before the WWII, lived a lifetime in other countries (like the USA). They had kids, they became grandparents. Those who stayed were starved to death and killed together with their families.

This week I tried to find some other countries (in 3 of them I’ve already been to) in which I may live a similar life with the one I live here (together with my family), but safer in so many ways.

The criteria for determining the best safe haven countries were:

• social stability
• fewer enemies
• economic freedom and opportunity
• freedom of self-expression
• self-sufficiency
• cost of living
• ease of visas and residency
• insulation to western collapse or wars

Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a mountainous country a lot like Switzerland, but located in a warm, though not tropical part of the world. There are a number of valleys where most of the people live but there are lots of mountain nooks and crannies to get lost in.

Here is an actual account of an American survivalists who retreated to Costa Rica a few years ago and started a new life there:

“Costa Rica is quite small (like West Virginia) and is relatively close to the Equator, but the country actually contains about thirty different climate zones, with the temperatures ranging from 90 degrees on the beach to the low 50’s in the mountains. What that means among other things is that you don’t need to worry unduly about heating in the winter nor air conditioning in the summer. Also, the growing season is about 365 days long!

The soil is incredibly rich and farming is very easy. Fruit trees and berries considered expensive rarities in the states grow like weeds here. Also, for its size, the country is blessed by an abundance of water, since the country lies between the Caribbean and the Pacific and the mountains running the length of the country ensure lots of rainfall. Rivers are everywhere and the mountain streams are crystal clean. All electricity is generated by hydro!”

Costa Rica is a safe Heaven!

The only problem with Costa Rica is that it’s really expensive to obtain a permanent residency there.

According to the government of Costa Rica an US citizen has 4 alternatives for obtaining legal residency. You are eligible if:

1 – If you are receiving a lifetime pension such as military pension, social security or state retirement benefits of no less than $1,000 US per month. They even stated that “We have many retired military retiring here who are in their forties and are qualified pensionados”

2 – If you have a guaranteed income of $2,500 per month;

3 – If you make a deposit to a Costa Rica bank in the amount of $60,000. From this deposit you will be paid at the rate of $2,500 per month for 24 months. This residency is for two years after which it must be renewed (another 60,000) or you must leave the country. Not cool Costa Rica, not cool!

4 – If you are an investor, who has at least $200,000 or more invested in Costa Rica

The government is so restrictive because they are going thru what out southern border is going thru: a lot of Colombian and Mexican immigrants.

Sweden

Few people know this, but Sweden isn’t part of NATO, so in case of an all-out war it has a big chance of staying aside, just like it happened in the WWII.

But at the same time, Sweden is part of the European Union. And that has a lot of benefits like traveling in all Europe countries without visa. And if you obtain a citizenship, all you need is an ID.

If the Euro collapses, Sweden will not be very affected, since they don’t use Euros (they have Swedish krona – SEK).

I’ve been to Sweden myself and I can tell you that English is their second language. Everybody speaks fluent English there.

Sweden has been for many years the country with the highest salaries in Europe.

It’s expensive to live in, but at the same time you can find a better paid job than here. My cousin, who left United States to live there (20 years ago) now earns 10K / month in construction.

He pays around 35% Tax and has Full Healthcare (everybody has there) until the day he dies.

Malaysia

Malaysia has one of the most robust economies in Asia, and this is reflected in the consistently high standard of living available to locals and expats alike.

On a modest budget, you truly can savor a life of luxury there. For as little as $5, you can enjoy an excellent meal, with a bottle of wine setting you back the same price. The street food is similarly scrumptious and one of the true charms of Malaysian cuisine.

New Yorker Thomas O’Neal speaks about his new life in Penang (Malaysia):

“I rent a 1,600-square-foot apartment with an amazing pool, just five minutes’ walk from the ritzy Gurney Plaza shopping mall. It costs me just $850 a month. I don’t need a car, either, so I’m saving money left, right, and center.

I love the weather – 82 F on average – and the ease of getting to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Japan and Laos. When you combine that with a cost of living of $1,500 per month, including my rent, it’s almost unbeatable.”

Because they were a British colony, English is widely spoken by locals, making it all the easier to adjust and find your way around.

Malaysia’s economy in 2014–2015 was one of the most competitive in Asia, ranking 6th in Asia and 20th in the world, higher than countries like Australia, France and South Korea.

Between 2013 and 2014, Malaysia has been listed as one of the best places to retire in the world too, with the country in third position on the Global Retirement Index. This in part was the result of the Malaysia My Second Home program to allow foreigners to live in the country on a long-stay visa for up to 10 years. Here are the requirements:

1. Applicants below 50 years old are required to open a fixed deposit account in Malaysia of $72,000 at any bank with a local branch.

After a period of one year, the participant can withdraw up to $36,000 for approved expenses relating to house purchase, education for children in Malaysia and medical purposes. However, a minimum balance of $36,000 must be maintained from the second year onwards and throughout stay in Malaysia under this program.

2. Applicants 50 years old and above are required to have a monthly off-shore government pension of at least $2,300 and have a bank deposit of $36,000

After a period of one year you can withdraw up to $12,000 for approved expenses relating to house purchase, education for children in Malaysia and medical purposes. However, a minimum balance of $24,000 must be maintained from the second year onward and throughout your stay in Malaysia.

Chile

Chile is today one of South America’s most stable and prosperous nations. It leads Latin American nations in rankings of income per capita, state of peace, economic freedom, education and low perception of corruption.

There are a lot of opportunities and vast expat communities in Chile

Chile is a fully developed country with modern cities and a rich countryside with stunning views of the Andes Mountains from almost any location.

Chile maintains a lower cost of living than North America especially for rent and fresh food. Americans can get a tourist visa (good for 90 days) on entry to Chile for a cost of $160.  Residency requirements in Chile are relatively flexible. Escapees can qualify for a Chilean Retirement and/or Income Visa by proving an income of between $500-$1000/month. Entrepreneurs can get residency by starting a business and foreigners can easily get a visa by working for a Chilean company.

Tasmania

Tasmania is an island state that is part of Australia (country) with half a million population.

TAS has plenty of water and fertile ground. It’s completely safe from every nuclear war or war of any kind. Nobody will ever bomb TAS (it wouldn’t be cost effective).

The whole island is about the size of South Carolina and about 45% of Tasmania is National Parks, Wildlife Reserves, etc.

It has mountains and hills so it’s pretty safe from tsunamis.

There is a LOT of land per capita, so buying a farm is pretty cheap. Here’s an idea:

“I saw a news piece a while back about a whole town for sale – houses going for $20k etc. Rename it Preppertown.”

On top of this, it’s Australia, so everybody speaks English (sort of).

The only downside of this heaven is that winters (actually summers) are cold and daily products are pretty expensive (like gas). And the Christmas is in full summer (actually winter). It would be weird to adapt living in the South Hemisphere (and kind of cool).

Obtaining a VISA is really easy. In most cases all you need to do is prove you have a skill that they need and that you would like to settle there to work. Australia is about the size of the USA (without Alaska) with only 23 mil inhabitants, so they’re always looking for skilled labor force.

Or if you want to invest in a farm or buy land… that will also do it.

Again, I don’t want to leave America and I probably never will. But I want to find a country where I can move to in two weeks if things get really, really bad.

Warning: What you’re about to see is heartbreaking, but it’s the reality that many people are facing due to the injuries they’ve suffered from COVID-19 drugs and vaccines after the PREP Act shielded pharmaceutical companies from liability for the harms caused by their products.

Do you know how long people injured by COVID-19 drugs like Remdesivir and Paxlovid and people suffering from devastating vaccine injuries have been trying to get around the blanket immunity our government gave pharmaceutical companies under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act for the harms caused by their products?

Years.

Do you know how many times a pharmaceutical company has skirted responsibility for an “oopsie” caused by a COVID-19 drug or an injury inflicted by their experimental vaccine or “gene therapy product” because they’re “immune?”

Too many to count.

In a groundbreaking decision, a Michigan judge ruled on Tuesday that the PREP Act does not protect a drug manufacturer and hospital in the case of a man who experienced two strokes and a leg amputation after receiving remdesivir contaminated with glass particles.

This is the first time a judge has ruled that a pharmaceutical company and hospital do not have immunity under the PREP Act—and a Plaintiff has successfully gotten past this roadblock.

Although the ruling is not a binding precedent, this case sets the tone for future lawsuits against the company for injuries potentially incurred by those given Remdesivir. It may also pave the way for people injured by other COVID-19 products.

Detroit-based attorney Ven Johnson filed a lawsuit on behalf of Dan Nowacki, his wife, and son against Gilead Sciences, Inc. (Gilead), the manufacturer of remdesivir—also known as Veklury—and the hospital that administered the drug, alleging gross negligence, breach of warranty, and loss of consortium—as Nowacki’s wife has lost her husband’s “society, companionship, and household services.”

St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital and Gilead claimed they could not be sued because they had immunity under the PREP Act. Both the pharmaceutical company and the hospital attempted to get the case dismissed.

Apparently, Gilead thought that when the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved its drug, it also approved the glass particles that mysteriously ended up in as many as 55,000 doses of their product.

The hospital, of course, must have thought they didn’t need to notify potential patients who may have received contaminated doses in a timely manner—because what’s the incentive?

“Their argument has been, ‘Yeah, we know how we voluntarily recalled. Yeah, we know there are glass particulates in it, and we know that two doses were given to Dan, and we know he had a stroke,” Johnson explained to me during a phone interview. “But since we followed the FDA guidelines and were approved, we have drug immunity. You can’t sue us because it was approved by the FDA.”

Johnson said he knew it would be an uphill battle, but he is proud of both judges [in state and federal court’] who reviewed the case and saw through the charade—that Gilead Sciences Inc. got approval for the drug but not the glass particles that contaminated its vaccine.

For those who don’t know, the PREP Act authorizes the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services to issue a declaration that gives individuals and entities involved in the “development, manufacturing, testing, distribution, administration, and use of such countermeasures” like a COVID-19 drug, medical product, or vaccine immunity from liability for the harm “caused, arising out of, relating to, or resulting from administration or use of countermeasures to diseases, threats and conditions.”

The COVID-19 “emergency” was the perfect justification to allow pharmaceutical companies to cut corners with their experimental drugs, pharmacies to give COVID-19 vaccines in parking lots, and hospitals to administer ridiculously expensive, ineffective, and potentially harmful treatments at the expense of inexpensive treatments we know worked.

Even though the COVID-19 emergency ended, HHS extended liability protections under the PREP Act because they care more about protecting pharmaceutical companies and the machine they’ve created than the people who are being harmed by these products.

Here’s What Happened:

Remdesivir, first authorized for emergency use in May 2020 is a controversial antiviral drug that supposedly targets the RNA in SARS-CoV-2 to prevent replication and COVID-19 symptoms. It has since been approved for adults and children as young as 28 days who weigh at least 6.6 pounds.

According to the complaint, Nowacki, on Nov. 10, 2021, was admitted to St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital and diagnosed with COVID-19. During his stay, he received five doses of remdesivir—at least two doses of which belonged to contaminated lots.

Days later, Nowacki experienced his first massive stroke and was released on November 24 to a skilled nursing facility. There he began to develop hematomas and swelling in his hands, face, and arms and was readmitted to Henry Ford Hospital, where his “symptoms remained a mystery to physicians.”

Nowacki suffered a second stroke on Dec. 16 that left him bedridden and in need of permanent round-the-clock care for the rest of his life.

However, according to a company announcement published on Dec. 3, 2021, on the FDA’s website, Gilead issued a voluntary recall of two lots of remdesivir after it received a customer complaint of glass particulates in the drug and confirmed through an investigation the claim was true. This was before Nowackie had his second stroke.

In a risk statement, the company admitted that “glass particulates” can “cause stroke or even lead to death” if they reach the blood vessels, travel to various organs, or block blood vessels in the heart, lungs, or brain. 

However, Gilead stated at that time it had not received any reports of adverse events related to the recall and was notifying its distributors and customers via UPS next-day air to hospital pharmacies to facilitate the return of any remaining vials from the affected lots.

Yet neither Nowacki nor his family were notified about the recall until St. Joseph Mercy Hospital sent a letter four months later, in April 2022, confirming Nowacki had received at least two doses of remdesivir from lots potentially contaminated with glass particles. 

That letter was a response to the family’s inquiries to determine whether Nowackie was given remdesivir in the hospital from contaminated lots. Instead of receiving assistance from Gilead, the pharma giant told them to contact the hospital.

“One of the things that we’re going to figure out is exactly what Gilead, the FDA, and the hospital knew and when,” Johnson said. “How did glass particles that could cause strokes and death in people get into this medication? Why aren’t these people approaching us to get our client’s medical records to understand what happened?”

Johnson said he didn’t understand why Gilead—and the hospital—made no effort to contact people who had potentially received the contaminated lots or help those who may have been harmed.

Instead, they’re trying to hide behind technicalities, he said. “This epitomizes who they [the pharmaceutical industry] are or who they’ve become.”

In a press release, Johnson said:

“Dan Nowacki’s case is a tragic example of the devastating consequences that can arise from sheer negligence and greed from pharmaceutical companies and the incompetence of St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea in not giving timely notice of a recalled drug.

“Drug manufacturers and medical institutions need to prioritize patient safety above all else. The four-month delay of alerting Nowacki of the recalled remdesivir prevented Mr. Nowacki’s subsequent treaters from administering necessary treatment, which compromised Nowacki’s recovery.”

Johnson said in his years of experience, it isn’t common for a company to issue a voluntary recall and to do so without having contact with the FDA.

“They had to have had contact with the FDA,” he said. “They claim in their December press release they had evidence of a customer who had some type of reaction, and they confirmed it was accurate—but when was it, where did it happen, and when did they first learn about it, because this process didn’t happen in two to three weeks.”

The next step in the court process is to engage in discovery. This will allow Nowackie’s attorney to obtain answers to these questions—and he plans to depose everyone he can at Gilead to find out what they knew and when.

Johnson doesn’t believe his client is the only person who suffered injuries from contaminated lots of remdesivir and invites anyone with information on how glass particles may have found their way into the lots or those who experienced similar injuries to contact his law firm.

“We’re going to absolutely go after this recall campaign,” Johnson said. “There is something they could have done to locate the folks to prevent him from having a second stroke. But that’s what happens when you allow drug manufacturers to do whatever they want.”

Some argue the West is falling apart at its seams. They point fingers at the collapsing infrastructure, the ongoing technological failures, and the questionable objectives behind public policies. To quote the famous Gaius Baltar, “The West can’t do diplomacy…all public policies seem to have a civilizational suicide as a final goal.” Let’s be honest, it’s hard to disagree with that.

Every time you open your laptop or switch on your TV, you’re bombarded with news, but can you trust it? How many times have you asked yourself, “Are we even getting the full picture?” Our times are so peculiar; one wonders if being “normal” is even a possibility anymore.

I keep waiting for someone to stop me on the street and ask me why I’m not wearing a mask. 
It’s been eleven months now and I’m still waiting. I estimate I’ve passed over 16,000 mask-wearing people in that span of time (50 people a day over 330 days), not to mention countless cars driving by. 
Not one person has expressed an ounce of curiosity. Not one person has seen me and said to themselves, “He’s not wearing a mask. Why am I wearing one?” Or maybe they have, but then either fear, stupidity or both has prevented them from exploring the situation further.

According to FEMA whistle blower Celeste Solum, left, Americans have been cast in the role of Jews in Nazi Germany and will meet the same fate. 
Global governance means we’ll have to play by a “totally new set of rules.”

If Celeste Solum is right, we are in much worse trouble than we think. She comes from an Illuminati background and worked as a FEMA planner for 20 years. So she is in a position to know.
Her horrifying vision is the darkest you will find. I cannot confirm that it will transpire but this may be a case of “forewarned is forearmed.” Prepare for “a world of hurt.”
She doesn’t write so I couldn’t find a text to repost. Instead she gives interviews to people like Mike Adams, Dave Hodges and David Icke. I listened to a few and provide some of her claims:

With robotics, most human beings have become redundant to the Illuminati. When there are famines and power blackouts, people will stream to “reception centers” (at Costco’s and Walmarts of all places?) where they will be interned and sent to concentration camps where they will be gassed or guillotined.  The goal is to offload 90% of the population.

Covid tests are intended to collect your DNA. The vaccines contain aborted fetus stem cellsand human proteins that have been bred in plants and mice (“a human in a mouse suit.”) They also contain “hydrogels” – nanoparticles that permanently fuse with your tissue, that connect with a 5G computer network that “monitor your health” at all times and determine if you can go to work or buy food. 
Speaking of food, meat will be phased out and concentration camp rations –“micronutrients” — introduced for the general public. There will be no “going to the supermarket.” We will not be allowed “to take anything from nature” and must downsize to half our carbon footprint. If we live in a mansion, we must move to a bungalow. (I know it sounds crazy.) 
 FEMA estimates only 3% of gun owners will resist gun confiscation by force. 

 They are making an inventory of everything of material value. All private property “will be federalized.” 
CRACKPOT?It is tempting to dismiss Solum as a crackpot and a fear monger. There were many red flags. She tends to exaggerate, claiming she grows 500 varieties of tomatoes on her farm in Montana and there are “seven million drones” monitoring us. She places a lot of emphasis on cosmic changes: “2000 year cycles’; “the sun has gone silent” and the “magnetosphere” has weakened. We are in the “end times.” She claims that a second Wuhan virus was released- a “plant destroyer” that decimated her orchards in Montana. 

On the other hand, consider her message in the context of what is actually happening. Trillions have been spent and millions of lives have been disrupted or destroyed for a virus that has a .25% mortality rate. 68,000 Britons have been fined for lockdown breeches. A young couple was terrorized by 12-man SWAT team who thought they were having a party. An 82-year-old grannie was watching TV in bed when police arrived to warn her about having tea in her garden with two friends earlier that day.  A Michigan restaurant owner was led away in shackles after publicly warning Americans they were being enslaved. 
Make up your own mind. But my view is prepare for the worst and pray for the best.

Hold onto your hats, world. The echoes of cyber warfare are loud and clear. The BAZAN Group, a giant rooted in Haifa Bay, was once known as Oil Refineries Ltd. Commanding a towering annual revenue of over $13.5 billion and standing as a beacon of employment for more than 1,800 souls, this beast processes approximately 9.8 million tonnes of crude oil annually. But now, its digital realm is plunged into darkness.

Visitors from around the globe, attempting to reach BAZAN Group’s websites, were met with nothing but silence. A chilling, digital void. The usual hum of connectivity replaced by error messages, blocked access, and an HTTP 502 alarm bell.

Renowned for their astute insights, BleepingComputer confirmed the unsettling findings: BAZAN’s digital presence was locked away from the world. Except, curiously, within Israel’s borders. The company, it seems, had drawn an electronic Iron Curtain around itself. Why? To deflect a menacing cyber onslaught.

The enigma deepens with the emergence of ‘Cyber Avengers‘, a seemingly Iranian-aligned digital mercenary group. Boasting loudly on their Telegram channel, they have professed to infiltrating BAZAN’s fortified walls. Their exhibit? Screenshots—allegedly extracted from the very heart of BAZAN’s SCADA system. This included intimate details of the refinery’s operations—everything from its “flare gas recovery unit” to its “splitter section” and PLC code diagrams.

If you want to see what happens when things go south, all you have to do is look at Venezuela: no electricity, no running water, no law, no antibiotics, no painkillers, no anesthetics, no insulin or other important things.

But if you want to find out how you can still manage in a situation like this, you must also look to Venezuela and learn the ingenious ways they developed to cope.

Adding fuel to the fire, the CyberAvengers boastfully point to past marks on their cloak and dagger scoreboard. A fire in Haifa Bay’s petrochemical plant in 2021? Their handiwork, they claim. A massive disruption across 28 Israeli train stations the year before? Them again. Though these claims remain unverified, they dangle like Damocles’ sword over a world already brimming with tension.

In a digital age, where ones and zeroes carry the weight of gold and power, this episode serves as a stark reminder. The battlefields have changed, but the game? Oh, it remains as old as time—power, control, and influence.

In the shadowy corridors of cyberspace, digital titans and hacktivist groups continue their dance.

Many people are convinced that civilization as we know it will collapse or, at best, experience a prolonged interruption. Very few of those people are actually planning for it and even less are preparing for it in advance. For those of us actually preparing we have forums, books, videos, and meetings to help us get ready for SHTF.

A few are even likely hoping for it for various reasons. What if this collapse occurs in a matter of minutes as well it might in various SHTF scenarios; nuclear war, terrorism, EMP, pandemic, conventional war, civil unrest becoming civil war? I am sure you can add a few to this list. Using the Golden Hour concept from trauma medicine I am proposing a few unusual ways of handling the first hour of SHTF.

In this Golden Hour things you do and do not do will have a profound effect on your chances of a decent survival outcome. The Golden Hour is getting a major trauma victim to a trauma center within an hour. Survival rates plummet by minute 61. What will you do in the first 60 minutes of a sudden SHTF? I expect disagreement and hope the comments will give me some good ideas.

SHTF Happens and you are at Home

Reacting rather than data gathering is the key to all of these situations. As humans used to experiencing normal conditions the sudden ending of the normal is a shock and many react to it by standing still and trying to find out what is going on. The lights go out, you check your phone, you look out the window, and you try to find your battery radio and the flashlights. You are in bed and the loud bang shakes the house violently and the power goes out. You use your phone, you turn on the TV, and you go outside to find out what is going on. You might even go through these actions several times!

I am not saying these responses are always wrong. Geography, etc. has an input into your plan which is a pre-written plan. If you are hundreds of miles from cities then your response might be different especially if you have large volumes of water stored. What I am saying is get moving early and start using the Water Bob, the clean rain barrels from storage within minutes of any alert that normal no longer might exist. Finding out what has happened is a secondary concern to preparing to survive. Who cares if Russia has attacked the USA or if it was a terrorist bomb? Listen to your gut not to CNN.

Even worse is leaving the home to collect wife (or husband) and kids. During the opening hour you have to prepare the home for a possible prolonged end of normal life. The wife (or husband) and kids have a plan and they will use it. It might be to hunker down and wait for you knowing it might be a day or two or come home immediately but they know it and you know it. Fight the very human desire to gather the loved ones immediately at the time of crisis unless is your plan and they know it. If you (or they) are at home then the preparing of the home is the best thing you can do for them in the opening hour. You have no idea how long the water or electricity will last.

Obviously if your children are young you need a plan to collect them but do you need to go immediately? If yes, then go. But the decision is a logical one not an emotional one. Emotional reactions to sudden shocks often lead to faulty decision-making. It might be best to protect your food and water supplies while the electricity and water remain on before heading out to collect your child from school. An hour or two’s delay in setting out means they get to eat and drink for sure.

If it is a temporary thing you have at worst wasted the water bob and will have to buy a new one (people say you can reuse it but I am not sure water safety is worth the risk). Other things you may consider doing during the first hour is nailing tarps over your raised garden beds and moving supplies into the house or bug out vehicle. What you do not want to be doing is chatting to neighbors or wasting time trying to get information. Something bad seems to have happened so deal with it. How much you know about it is a human desire but preparing is the essential thing in the first hour.

SHTF Happens and you are on the Road

This is the hardest of all situations to experience sudden SHTF yet it is the most common one in society. Motor Vehicle Collisions (they are not ‘accidents’) kill and maim many people each and every day. Plan for this in advance and have a seat belt cutter stored.

However in a sudden SHTF of major local, national, or international scope what is your plan if you are in the vehicle? If the vehicle works get fuel as soon as possible and buy food and water in the first gas station you see using cash but only if it is safe and uncrowded. Then get home or to the preplanned bug out location using the vehicle. Do not delay at all. In sudden SHTF people literally drive miles in one direction, usually to collect family, and then end up being directed the opposite way by Police. When they finally get home it is burned down or looted. As ever everyone in your family know to stay in place or come home in an SHTF and when to do so. You are not their savior. Your role is to trust them and the written and discussed plan. Get home or to the bug out location and get busy.

Some SHTF scenarios will see the vehicle fail or be blocked in its progress. Abandon the vehicle immediately gathering all useful supplies and get moving away from people and towards home or the bug out location. Drive alternative routes if possible but a vehicle is not going to last long in a major SHTF so try not to be attached to it! Again chatting to people, trying their phones, and wondering what is going on is pointless. It is bad and that is all you need to know. Use the sides of highways to move away from the groups of scared, annoyed, and confused people on the road. No need to walk up the exit ramps as you have the physical ability to use less usual routes. You always have a paper map however basic and a get home bag in the car.

Transit by boat, plane, or train in a sudden SHTF is problematic. In your Golden Hour gather supplies, learn exits, and start thinking how best to get out and home. Water in train, boat, and plane washrooms is not drinkable but empty a recycling bin and fill up those bottles with it. You should have a few water purification tablets on you at all times. Do not bother washing out those bottles. People are not really that infectious (this advice is NOT to be followed in a pandemic) and you can easily get 10 liters or more of okay water stored up in the first few minutes of the SHTF while everyone else is shouting into dead phones. By Day Two you will be very happy you did this in those first few minutes.

As a rule I never travel by boat other than short ferry rides and I cannot see a good outcome in SHTF on a cruise ship but if you cruise at least carry your own flotation vests and survival kit.

Experiencing a sudden and dreadful SHTF on a plane might be interesting. If it falls out of the sky then all the prepping you have done will hopefully be used by your loved ones. However diversion and being kept in an airport is more likely in a sudden SHTF. Carry cash in large amounts and try to carry some cash that can be used in the countries you are flying over or near. If the power is on and you can use credit cards to immediately start an alternative route home. In 9-11 people were stuck in Canada for up to four days when they could have got home via train and bus if they had started immediately. A few hours later and there were no seats available! If a small nuclear war is the cause of air travel suspension imagine how long you might be stuck somewhere and how likely is it you will be well treated?

If a SHTF is likely I’d advise you to call sick and stay at home even if you have a cruise booked but SHTF can happen with almost no warning and what you do immediately can make or break your survival chances.

SHTF Happens and you are at Work, School, or the Mall

Ideally using your preplanned route(s) and get home bag you will immediately start home. If the car park is a mess or the car will not work immediately abandon it after getting the supplies. In a sudden and serious SHTF roads and car parks likely will be both slower than walking and less safe.

If it is a chemical or nuclear SHTF you might need to shelter in place. Know where the washrooms are especially those deep in the building and infrequently used. If mushroom clouds bloom on the horizon people will mainly rush to their cars and attempt to flee home not that home is a magically safe place. Go to the nearest couple of recycling bins, open them, and carry the trash bags loaded with cans and bottles to the washroom (preferably one on a lower level). Dump them out and start filling them with tap water. Don’t bother cleaning them out. Try to get 50 litres or more. Do this immediately and you can store up 4 weeks’ worth in minutes. Store it in a cubical, lock it, and climb out. At this point try to buy food as you head for the car but do not if it will take time. At the car grab everything useful and back to the washroom. Bunker in and trust your loved ones are similarly safe.

It is unlikely people will use the washrooms in Malls and schools in these scenarios especially those out-of-the-way ones. If they do all your stuff is in a locked cubical. Food and warmth are not the priority in the Golden Hour but water and security are. Consider breaking all the lights in your washroom after securing the water and jamming the door. Consider breaking all the lights in the corridor outside and pulling stuff into it. Initially people will not take hard routes.

Looting supplies is reasonable once people have gone and Security has left. Before then the chances of getting into trouble makes it not worth the risk. Most fast food places have the food (such as it is) in the back. Mall, workplace, and School offices have lockers and many will have something to eat inside if you take your time looking through them. At work know who keeps food at their desks (you do I hope!). Most people will grab their keys and bags and flee towards home leaving behind a lot of food and useful items.

Many people think about using coins to raid vending machines. Maybe this is a good idea but water is from the washroom taps and the recycling bins and lining up slowly buying chocolate bars might make you a target. In a sudden SHTF it is more than likely you can use your small crow bar from your get home bag to access the vending machines the next day. You are going to be sitting in dark for at least a week but I’d try to do this for four weeks. Then you go home. Radiation will hopefully not kill you in four weeks but likely will the first day.

Many places have drapes and carpets that you can cut up to make sleeping ‘bags’ and this is the sort of re-purposing you need to do in SHTF. Keep active and do whatever you need to do to optimize your survival chances.

The hardest part is not fleeing but thinking, planning, and acting. Prepping is a state of mind as much as anything and I hope this article gets you thinking a bit. Much of it is arguable so please argue!
