  • The Inflation/Tax/Deficit Increasing Act of 2022

The Inflation/Tax/Deficit Increasing Act of 2022

Time and again, undemocratic Dems go out of their way to prove that they’re unfit to serve.

Jefferson reportedly said that “government is best that governs least.”

He and others should have also said that taxing and spending hundreds of billons of dollars increases inflation instead of the other way around.

According to fake news attributed to the fake Biden:

“This is the strongest bill you can pass to lower inflation (sic), continue to cut the deficit (sic), (address) a (nonexistent) climate crisis, promote America’s energy security (sic) and reduce the burdens facing working-class and middle-class families (sic).”

The certain to be enacted into law in the coming days measure will do none of the above — nothing to reduce exorbitant drug, other healthcare, energy or other high costs.

It’ll increase the deficit instead of the other way around.

It’ll harm the vast majority of US households, while benefitting special interests more than already.

Nor will it advance what’s dubiously called “environmental justice (sic).”

And it clearly won’t tackle a “climate crisis” because nothing of the sort exists.

According to a letter by 230 economists to House and Senate leadership:

Around $433 billion in proposed government spending “would create immediate inflationary pressures by boosting demand, while the supply-side tax hikes would constrain supply by discouraging investment and draining the private sector of much-needed resources.”

Stressing the urgency of addressing near-record-high US inflation, the measure will achieve the “opposite effect.”

    According to analyst Richard Stern:

The misnamed Inflation Reduction Act will “increase inflation, depress household incomes, and produce the longterm deficits that fuel longterm inflation.”

Congressional Budget Office scoring estimates a deficit of $52.5 billion over the next four years, at least $110 billion through FY 2031, and more thereafter.

And “almost every provision of the bill will bleed the bank accounts of American families,” said Stern.

Increasing corporate taxes will force companies to raise prices, fueling more inflationary pressures.

Like most congressional legislation, special interests will benefit from the new measure at the expense of ordinary Americans.

With November midterms a few months away, the measure and other wrongheaded Dem policies are especially politicized.

They’re hoodwinking most Americans to believe that what harms their well-being is beneficial.

That’s the reality of the Obama/Biden regime’s misnamed Affordable Care Act (ACA) — aka Obamacare.

Effective on March 23, 2010, it benefitted insurers, Pharma profiteers and large hospital chains at the expense of healthcare as it should be provided, treating it as a fundamental human right by a single-payer system — everyone in, no one left out.

Obamacare made a dysfunctional system worse.

The same reality applies to the misnamed Inflation Reduction Act.

Instead of improving things for ordinary Americans, they’ll be more ill-served than already — the diabolical aim of undemocratic

Dems instead of the other way around.

According to Tax Foundation vice president of federal tax and economic policy, William McBride, the new measure comes “at a terrible time.”

It’s when the economy is in recession.

The measure will slow it down further.

Not only won’t it reduce inflation, it’ll raise taxes on millions of low-and middle-income earners, according to the Wharton School Business Model and nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation.

The JCT estimates a 2023 tax increase of $16.7 billion on households earning less than $200,000 — $14.1 billion for ones earning between $200,000 and $500,000.

When ruling US/Western regimes claim that their policies benefit working households, remember the tried and true maxim.

They all lie and mass deceive — especially undemocratic Dems, notably since the Clinton co-presidency.

Nothing they say can be taken at face value.

  • 20 Things You Will Need to Survive When the Economy Collapses and the Next Great Depression Begins

20 Things You Will Need to Survive When the Economy Collapses and the Next Great Depression Begins

Today, millions of Americans say that they believe that the United States is on the verge of a major economic collapse and will soon be entering another Great Depression. But only a small percentage of those same people are prepared for that to happen. The sad truth is that the vast majority of Americans would last little more than a month on what they have stored up in their homes. Most of us are so used to running out to the supermarket or to Wal-Mart for whatever we need that we never even stop to consider what would happen if suddenly we were not able to do that. Already the U.S. economy is starting to stumble about like a drunken frat boy. All it would take for the entire U.S. to resemble New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina would be for a major war, a terror attack, a deadly pandemic or a massive natural disaster to strike at just the right time and push the teetering U.S. economy over the edge. So just how would you survive if you suddenly could not rely on the huge international corporate giants to feed, clothe and supply you and your family? Do you have a plan?

Unless you already live in a cave or you are a complete and total mindless follower of the establishment media, you should be able to see very clearly that our society is more vulnerable now than it ever has been. This year there have been an unprecedented number of large earthquakes around the world and volcanoes all over the globe are awakening. You can just take a look at what has happened in Haiti and in Iceland to see how devastating a natural disaster can be. Not only that, but we have a world that is full of lunatics in positions of power, and if one of them decides to set off a nuclear, chemical or biological weapon in a major city it could paralyze an entire region. War could erupt in the Middle East at literally any moment, and if it does the price of oil will double or triple (at least) and there is the possibility that much of the entire world could be drawn into the conflict. Scientists tell us that a massive high-altitude EMP (electromagnetic pulse) blast could send large portions of the United States back to the stone age in an instant. In addition, there is the constant threat that the outbreak of a major viral pandemic (such as what happened with the 1918 Spanish Flu) could kill tens of millions of people around the globe and paralyze the economies of the world.

But even without all of that, the truth is that the U.S. economy is going to collapse. So just think of what will happen if one (or more) of those things does happen on top of all the economic problems that we are having.

    Are you prepared?

The following is a list of 20 things you and your family will need to survive when the economy totally collapses and the next Great Depression begins….

    #1) Storable Foo

Food is going to instantly become one of the most valuable commodities in existence in the event of an economic collapse. If you do not have food you are not going to survive. Most American families could not last much longer than a month on what they have in their house right now. So what about you? If disaster struck right now, how long could you survive on what you have? The truth is that we all need to start storing up food. If you and your family run out of food, you will suddenly find yourselves competing with the hordes of hungry people who are looting the stores and roaming the streets looking for something to eat.

Of course you can grow your own food, but that is going to take time. So you need to have enough food stored up until the food that you plant has time to grow. But if you have not stored up any seeds you might as well forget it. When the economy totally collapses, the remaining seeds will disappear very quickly. So if you think that you are going to need seeds, now is the time to get them.

    #2) Clean Water

Most people can survive for a number of weeks without food, but without water you will die in just a few days. So where would you get water if the water suddenly stopped flowing out of your taps? Do you have a plan? Is there an abundant supply of clean water near your home? Would you be able to boil water if you need to?

Besides storing water and figuring out how you are going to gather water if society breaks down, another thing to consider is water purification tablets. The water you are able to gather during a time of crisis may not be suitable for drinking. So you may find that water purification tablets come in very, very handy.

    #3) Shelter

You can’t sleep on the streets, can you? Well, some people will be able to get by living on the streets, but the vast majority of us will need some form of shelter to survive for long. So what would you do if you and your family lost your home or suddenly were forced from your home? Where would you go?

The best thing to do is to come up with several plans. Do you have relatives that you can bunk with in case of emergency? Do you own a tent and sleeping bags if you had to rough it? If one day everything hits the fan and you and your family have to “bug out” somewhere, where would that be? You need to have a plan.

    #4) Warm Clothing

If you plan to survive for long in a nightmare economic situation, you are probably going to need some warm, functional clothing. If you live in a cold climate, this is going to mean storing up plenty of blankets and cold weather clothes. If you live in an area where it rains a lot, you will need to be sure to store up some rain gear. If you think you may have to survive outdoors in an emergency situation, make sure that you and your family have something warm to put on your heads. Someday after the economy has collapsed and people are scrambling to survive, a lot of folks are going to end up freezing to death. In fact, in the coldest areas it is actually possible to freeze to death in your own home. Don’t let that happen to you.

    #5) An Axe

Staying along the theme of staying warm, you may want to consider investing in a good axe. In the event of a major emergency, gathering firewood will be a priority. Without a good tool to cut the wood with that will be much more difficult.

    #6) Lighters Or Matches

You will also want something to start a fire with. If you can start a fire, you can cook food, you can boil water and you can stay warm. So in a true emergency situation, how do you plan to start a fire? By rubbing sticks together? Now is the time to put away a supply of lighters or matches so that you will be prepared when you really need them.

In addition, you may want to consider storing up a good supply of candles. Candles come in quite handy whenever the electricity goes out, and in the event of a long-term economic nightmare we will all see why our forefathers relied on candles so much.

#7) Hiking Boots Or Comfortable Shoes

When you ask most people to list things necessary for survival, this is not the first or the second thing that comes to mind. But having hiking boots or very comfortable and functional shoes will be absolutely critical. You may very well find yourself in a situation where you and your family must walk everywhere you want to go. So how far do you think you will get in high heels? You will want footwear that you would feel comfortable walking in for hours if necessary. You will also want footwear that will last a long time, because when the economy truly collapses you may not be able to run out to the shoe store and get what you need at that point.

    #8) A Flashlight And/Or Lantern

When the power goes off in your home, what is the first thing that you grab? Just think about it. A flashlight or a lantern of course. In a major emergency, a flashlight or a lantern is going to be a necessity – especially if you need to go anywhere at night.

Solar powered or “crank style” flashlights or lanterns will probably be best during a long-term emergency. If you have battery-powered units you will want to begin storing up lots and lots of batteries.

    #9) A Radio

If a major crisis does hit the United States, what will you and your family want? Among other things, you will all want to know what in the world is going on. A radio can be an invaluable tool for keeping up with the news.

Once again, solar powered or “crank style” radios will probably work best for the long term. A battery-powered until would work as well – but only for as long as your batteries are able to last.

    #10) Communication Equipment

When things really hit the fan you are going to want to communicate with your family and friends. You will also want to be able to contact an ambulance or law enforcement if necessary. Having an emergency cell phone is great, but it may or may not work during a time of crisis. The Internet also may or may not be available. Be sure to have a plan (whether it be high-tech or low-tech) for staying in communication with others during a major emergency.

    #11) A Swiss Army Knife

If you have ever owned a Swiss Army knife you probably already know how incredibly handy they can be. It can be a very valuable and versatile tool. In a true survival situation, a Swiss Army knife can literally do dozens of different things for you. Make sure that you have at least one stored up for emergencies.

    #12) Personal Hygiene Items

While these may not be absolute “essentials”, the truth is that life will get very unpleasant very quickly without them. For example, what would you do without toilet paper? Just think about it. Imagine that you just finished your last roll of toilet paper and now you can’t get any more. What would you do?

The truth is that soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper and other hygiene products are things that we completely take for granted in society today. So what would happen if we could not go out and buy them any longer?

#13) A First Aid Kit And Other Medical Supplies

One a more serious note, you may not be able to access a hospital or a doctor during a major crisis. In your survival supplies, be absolutely certain that you have a good first aid kit and any other medical supplies that you think you may need.

    #14) Extra Gasoline

There may come a day when gasoline is rationed or is simply not available at all. If that happens, how will you get around? Be certain to have some extra gasoline stored away just in case you find yourself really needing to get somewhere someday.

    #15) A Sewing Kit

If you were not able to run out and buy new clothes for you and your family, what would you do? Well, you would want to repair the clothes that you have and make them last as long as possible. Without a good sewing kit that will be very difficult to do.

    #16) Self-Defense Equipment

Whether it is pepper spray to fend off wild animals or something more “robust” to fend off wild humans, millions of Americans will one day be thankful that they have something to defend themselves with.

    #17) A Compass

In the event of a major emergency, you and your family may find yourselves having to be on the move. If you are in a wilderness area, it will be very hard to tell what direction you are heading without a compass. It is always a good idea to have at least one compass stored up.

    #18) A Hiking Backpack

If you and your family suddenly have to “bug out”, what will you carry all of your survival supplies in? Having a good hiking backpack or “survival bag” for everyone in your family is extremely important. If something happened in the city where you live and you suddenly had to “go”, what would you put your most important stuff in? How would you carry it all if you had to travel by foot? These are very important things to think about.

    #19) A Community

During a long-term crisis, it is those who are willing to work together that will have the best chance of making it. Whether it is your family, your friends, a church or a local group of people that you know, make sure that you have some people that you can rely on and work together with in the event that everything hits the fan. Loners are going to have a really hard time of surviving for long.

    #20) A Backup Plan

Lastly, it is always, always, always important to have a backup plan for everything.

If someone comes in and steals all the food that you have stored up, what are you going to do?

If travel is restricted and your can’t get to your “bug out” location immediately do you have a Plan B?

If you have built your house into an impregnable survival fortress but circumstances force you to leave do you have an alternate plan?

The truth is that crisis situations rarely unfold just as we envision. It is important to be flexible and to be ready with backup plans when disaster strikes.

You don’t want to end up like the folks in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. You don’t want to have to rely on the government to take care of you if something really bad happens.

Right now the U.S. strategic grain reserve contains only enough wheat to make half a loaf of bread for each of the approximately 300 million people in the United States.

How long do you think that is going to last?

Now is the time to get ready.

Now is the time to prepare.

The United States economy is going to collapse and incredibly hard times are coming.

Will you be able to survive when it happens?

  • “Redemption Through Sin” (Debauchery became theology with sex orgies, Satanic rituals, incest and the piece de resistance, wife-swapping to celebrate the feast of Purim.)

“Redemption Through Sin” (Debauchery became theology with sex orgies, Satanic rituals, incest and the piece de resistance, wife-swapping to celebrate the feast of Purim.)

Have you heard of Sabbatai Zevi? In one sense you should have given that he was arguably the most important Jewish religious figure of the last 2,000 years. Then again I can understand if you haven’t heard of him because he’s been effectively scrubbed from the record and what’s left has been rewritten beyond recognition. And for some reason this rewriting of history has gone into overdrive in recent times. I know this because I developed an interest in him about twenty years ago and there was, as I recall, no shortage of information back then.

For Jews Zevi is a bit like the mad aunt in the attic, an embarrassment who shouldn’t be mentioned if at all possible. You see for many years he was seen by up to half of Jews world-wide as the embodiment of their long-promised Messiah. And Sabb agreed with them. And he had another unique selling point: Redemption Through Sin. So the more you sinned the closer you got to God. No wonder he was an international success – an actual Messiah who encouraged you to sin your way to Heaven. His prayer: Blessed be he who permits the forbidden. Debauchery became theology with sex orgies, Satanic rituals, incest and the piece de resistance, wife-swapping to celebrate the feast of Purim. You can bet your last shekel that Sabb had the best-looking wives lined up well in advance of this particular feast-day.

But trouble was brewing. You see he was living under the Ottoman Empire in Smyrna (now called Izmir) and the Religion Of Peace takes a dim view of such practices. (Well in public anyway.) So they gave him an offer he couldn’t refuse: (1) Give up your job as Messiah and convert to Islam or (2) get decapitated. Zevi didn’t panic, kept his head, thought about it. And kept his head. So overnight he went from being the actual Jewish Messiah to a Muslim imam. As you can imagine selling this deal to his followers presented some difficulties and he basically lost his gig as Redeemer. But at least he lived to a ripe old age.

    Important below:

Pioneer foods we’ll be eating a lot after SHTF

If society collapses, you can bet that the foods the pioneers ate will become dietary staples

As I said earlier Zevi has now been disowned by Judaism. It’s a case of “Sabbatai who?” His current Wiki page has been rewritten to the point of being unrecognisable from the original. Yet he was onto something. Specifically the duality of Good and Evil in that Good has no meaning in the absence of Evil and vice versa. This profound philosophical insight has been brought home to me by the explosion of evil in recent times. Now I know that evil has been present since the dawn of mankind. However in the current time (the End Times?) evil is actually celebrated and openly promoted. Everything Zevi preached is playing out before our eyes. The moral and natural laws have been turned upside down, depravity promoted. “A trans-identified male who raped two 9-year-old girls before torturing and murdering his developmentally disabled cellmate has been “offering” his “expertise” to policymakers on the issue of transgender inmate rights.

This has become the norm, not the exception. The corruption of children, probably the worst crime of all, has now become official policy as they get introduced to every form of sexual perversion at an early age while what could have been a supportive nuclear family structure gets systematically undermined at every turn. The scamdemic is nothing less than a psychological-terror operation knowingly and deliberately orchestrated by immensely powerful psychopaths. Millions of deaths have been deliberately caused by the promoting of lethal solutions (Remdesivir, ventilators) and the discrediting and banning of cheap and simple curative medicines like hydroxychloroquine and Reiner Fuellmich sees it as the greatest crime against humanity ever committed in terms of human carnage and societal, cultural, political, psychological and economic destruction.

Children are sacrificed before an ancient effigy of Moloch

The War On Beauty is another profound manifestation of evil. Some of the world’s greatest philosophers have identified a link between between beauty, goodness and truth. Logos. I’m no philosopher but clearly it has something to do with divine symmetry, the Golden Ratio and other forms of the divine. Yet music, art, literature and architecture have been debased to the point of being ghastly simulacrums of what they once were. Moloch is being honoured by plans to introduce ‘post-birth abortions’ – in other words infanticide.

But the evil has become blatant to the point where vast numbers of people, myself included, are beginning to become aware that Manichaeism (which teaches an elaborate dualistic cosmology describing the struggle between a good, spiritual world of light, and an evil, material world of darkness) is real. It is bringing them – and me – back to God.

So maybe we owe old Sabb a vote of thanks after all.

  • Humanity trembles at the prospect- Hegemon USA Run by Psychopaths and Sociopaths Makes Unthinkable Nuclear War Possible

Humanity trembles at the prospect- Hegemon USA Run by Psychopaths and Sociopaths Makes Unthinkable Nuclear War Possible

On January 22, 2021, the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) entered into force.

Supported by scores of world community nations, nuclear armed ones are not among them.

A statement by Russia, China, Britain, France and hegemon USA said the following on October 29, 2018:

“We will not support, sign or ratify this Treaty.”

“The TPNW will not be binding on our countries, and we do not accept any claim that it contributes to the development of customary international law.”

“Nor does it set any new standards or norms.”

“We call on all countries that are considering supporting the TPNW to reflect seriously on its implications for international peace and security.”

The above nations claim that the best way to “achieve a world without nuclear weapons is through a gradual process that takes into account the international security environment.”

“This proven approach to nuclear disarmament has produced tangible results, including deep reductions in the global stockpiles of nuclear weapons.”

These countries also claim that the TPNW is contrary to the 1970 Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).

Calling for prevention of the spread of nuclear weapons and technology, it promotes peaceful use of nuclear energy, along with furthering the goal of nuclear and general disarmament.

Russia and China genuinely support efforts “to advance nuclear disarmament and objectives.”

Hegemon USA is the only nation ever to use these weapons — in August 1945, months after Japan was defeated, sought to surrender, but was turned down by Franklin Roosevelt before his death and the Truman regime.

In his 1991 book, titled “The Samson Option: Israel’s Nuclear Arsenal and America Foreign Policy,” Seymour Hersh discussed the Jewish state’s intention to use these weapons if believed its security was greatly jeopardized.

In his 1997 book, titled “Open Secrets: Israeli Nuclear and Foreign Policies,” Israel Shahak explained that — aided by the Israeli Lobby and Christian Zionists, “Israel (is) clearly prepar(ing) itself to seek overtly a hegemony over the entire Middle East (with no) hesitati(on) to use for the purpose all means available, including nuclear ones.”

Hebrew University Professor of Military History, Martin Van Creveld, once said the following:

The Jewish state “ha(s) the capability to take the world down with us.”

“And I can assure you (it) will happen before Israel goes under.”

It’s had nukes for decades and long-range delivery systems because hegemon USA helped the Jewish state develop them — knowing the risks, ignoring them.

The TPNW calls for the following prohibitions:

That signatory nations vow “never under any circumstances to develop, test, produce, manufacture, otherwise acquire, possess or stockpile nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices.

Transfer to any recipient whatsoever nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices or control over such weapons or explosive devices directly or indirectly.

Receive the transfer of or control over nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices directly or indirectly.

Use or threaten to use nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices.

Assist, encourage or induce, in any way, anyone to engage in any activity prohibited to a State Party under this Treaty.

Seek or receive any assistance, in any way, from anyone to engage in any activity prohibited to a State Party under this Treaty.

Allow any stationing, installation or deployment of any nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices in its territory or at any place under its jurisdiction or control.”

As long as these WMDs exist, the risk of them being used by one or more nations against others is ominously high.

If thermonukes are used in enough numbers, planet earth may no longer be able to sustain life.

The only solution is abolition and elimination of these weapons once and for all.

Interviewed by Al Jazeera to be broadcast at a later date, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman, Dmitry Medvedev, said the following:

Despite no one wanting nuclear war because of the risk of armageddon if launched, “when people say that something is impossible, because it is never possible, they are always wrong.”

Nuclear weapons were already used twice “by none other than the” empire of lies.

Russia’s nuclear doctrine is clear and unequivocal.

If “the very existence of the state” is jeopardized, its leadership will use whatever weapons it has at its disposal to counter the risk.

“Nobody should forget about this,” Medvedev stressed.

At the same time, Russia is ready to engage diplomatically with other nations on all issues.

But only with “respectful (dialogue) that takes into account our sovereignty, our concerns, and is aimed at creating indivisible security.”

Not in the interests of individual countries at the expense of others.

US/Western regimes operate by worlds apart standards — seeking dominance over other nations by brute force if lesser tactics fail to achieve their diabolical aims.

Despite not launching war on another nation while in office, Trump recklessly threatened nonbelligerent North Korea with “fire and fury like the world has never seen.”

Dominant Biden regime hardliners are waging unparalleled sanctions and proxy hot war on Russia — what risks crossing the line to direct East/West confrontation by pushing things too far.

The risk is too ominously high to ignore.

It makes the unthinkable possible because of hegemon USA’s megalomaniacal rage to rule the world unchallenged by whatever it takes to achieve its aims.

The only nation ever to use nukes against another may go this far again if its ruling class believes it’s strategically to its advantage so go for it.

Cold War mutually assured destruction (MAD) kept these weapons from being used.

Soviet Russia never intended to use them preemptively. Nor does the Russian Federation.

According to the International Campaign To Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), their use may be just “a temper tantrum away” — notably by the empire of lies, Britain, France and/or apartheid Israel.

It’s always breath-holding time because of their rage to dominate other nations by perpetual war-making against invented enemies free from their control.

Faced with defeat by Russian military and tactical superiority in Ukraine, will the empire of lies resort to use of tactical nukes to try turning things around?

Using them once before against a defeated adversary suggests that it may go this way again against invented enemy Russia.

    Humanity trembles at the prospect.

  • The First 19 Foods You Should Stockpile For Disaster- A good stockpile of food will go a long way toward helping you survive the aftermath of any disaster or life crisis, especially when grocery stores are emptied

The First 19 Foods You Should Stockpile For Disaster- A good stockpile of food will go a long way toward helping you survive the aftermath of any disaster or life crisis, especially when grocery stores are emptied

A good stockpile of food will go a long way toward helping you survive the aftermath of any disaster or life crisis, especially when grocery stores are emptied.

In fact, I’d go so far as to say that there are people who are not preppers who nevertheless instinctively know to stockpile food. This really isn’t surprising when you consider that through most of mankind’s history, stockpiling food was essential to survival — specifically surviving the winter months. During those months, wildlife is bedded down trying to stay warm and plants are dormant. If one didn’t have a good stockpile of food, their chances of survival were pretty darn slim.

But knowing to stockpile food and knowing what to stockpile are two different things. The vast majority of what the average American family eats is unsuitable for stockpiling, because it falls into one of three categories:

    • Junk food – Lots of carbs, lots of sugar, lots of salt and lots of chemicals, but not much nutrition.
    • Fresh food – Foods that won’t keep without refrigeration.
    • Frozen food – It will begin to spoil within two days of losing electrical power.

So we need to come up with other foods — foods that will give us a lot of nutrition and also have the ability to be stored for a prolonged period of time. Here are what we consider the 19 most important ones:

    1. Beans – This is one of the more common survival foods. Not only are beans plentiful and cheap, but they provide a lot of protein — something that’s hard to find without meat.

    2. White rice – The perfect companion to beans. An excellent source of carbohydrates, and it stores well. [Note: Don’t store brown rice, which contains oils and will spoil.]

    3. Canned vegetables – A good way of adding micro-nutrients to your survival diet. Canned goods keep well, long past the expiration date on the label.

    4. Canned fruit – For something sweet, adding canned fruit allows you a nice change of diet. Being canned, they keep as well as the vegetables do.

    5. Canned meats – Of all the ways of preserving meat, canning is the most secure in protecting the meat from decomposition. While it doesn’t typically have as good a flavor as fresh meat, it still provides animal protein at the most reasonable price you’ll find.

    6. Honey – As long as you can keep the ants out of it, honey keeps forever. Plus, it is beneficial during cold season.

    7. Salt – Nature’s preservative. Most means of preserving foods require the use of salt. In addition, our bodies need to consume salt for survival.

    8. Pasta products – Pasta is a great source of carbohydrates, allowing you a lot of variety in your cooing. Besides that, it’s a great comfort food for kids. Who doesn’t like spaghetti?

    9. Spaghetti sauce – Obviously, you need this to go with the pasta. But it is also great for hiding the flavor of things your family doesn’t like to eat. Pretty much anything, with spaghetti sauce on it, tastes like Italian food — whether you’re talking about some sort of unusual vegetable or a raccoon that you caught pilfering from your garden.

    10. Jerky – While expensive to buy, jerky is pure meat, with only the addition of spices. Its high salt content allows it to store well, making it a great survival food. It can be reconstituted by adding it to soups and allowing it to cook.

    11. Peanut butter – Another great source of protein and another great comfort food, especially for the kiddies. It might be a good idea to stockpile some jelly to go with it.

    12. Wheat flour – For baking, especially baking bread. Bread is an important source of carbohydrates for most Americans. Flour also allows you to shake up the diet with the occasional batch of cookies or a cake.

    13. Baking powder & baking soda – Also for making the bread, cookies or cakes.

    14. Bouillon – Otherwise known as “soup starter,” this allows you to make the broth without having to boil bones on the stove for hours. Soups will probably be an important part of anyone’s diet in a survival situation, as they allow you to eat almost anything. Just throw it together in a pot and you’ve got soup.

    15. Water – We don’t want to forget to stockpile a good supply of water. You’ll go through much more than you expect. Experts recommend a minimum of one gallon per person per day, but remember: That’s just for drinking.

    16. Whole-wheat –Crackers are a good replacement for bread and make a fine substitute when making sandwiches. Due to their higher fat content, whole-wheat or whole-grain crackers have a shorter shelf life than their plain counterparts (check the box for expiration dates), but the extra fiber pays off when you’re particularly hungry. Consider vacuum-packing your crackers to prolong their freshness.

    17. Nuts and trail mixes – Stock up on these high-energy foods—they’re healthful and convenient for snacking. Look for vacuum-packed containers, which prevent the nuts from oxidizing and losing their freshness.

    18. Powdered milk –Almost all dairy products require refrigeration, so stock this substitute for an excellent source of calcium and vitamin D when fresh milk isn’t an option.

19.Multivitamins –Supplements will help replace the nutrients you would have consumed on a normal diet.

While this doesn’t constitute a complete list of every type of food that you should stockpile, it’s a good starting point. You’ll want more variety than this, but in reality, your family can survive for quite a while with just the 15 things on this list.

As your stockpile grows, add variety to it. One way of doing that is to create a three-week menu, with the idea of repeating that menu over and over. If you have everything you need to cook everything on that menu, you’ll have a fair assortment of food, and enough so that your family shouldn’t grow tired of it.

  • FEMA Warning: 10 Years Without Electricity After Major Solar Storm (A Perfect Solar Storm Similar to One That Slammed Into Earth In 1859 Would Knock Out The United States Electric Grid.)

FEMA Warning: 10 Years Without Electricity After Major Solar Storm (A Perfect Solar Storm Similar to One That Slammed Into Earth In 1859 Would Knock Out The United States Electric Grid.)

A perfect solar storm similar to one that slammed into Earth in 1859 would knock out the United States electric grid for four to 10 years if it hit today, an unpublished report from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) indicates.

The 36-page report was posted this month at GovernmentAttic.org, which uncovers old government documents that often are acquired via Freedom of Information Act requests. The 2010 document was titled, “Mitigation strategies for FEMA command, control, and communications during and after a solar superstorm.”

The storm that hit Earth in 1859 was dubbed the Carrington Event and caught telegraph machines – the most advanced technology of the day – on fire.

Predicting what would happen if that type of solar crashed into Earth in the 21st century, the document says: “Significant power grid collapses may occur in North America and elsewhere; could require 4-10 years to fully restore.”

But even a smaller storm, like the one that hit Earth in 1921, would “could cause large-scale power grid collapse” if it hit today.

The report predicts that Internet, cable TV and telephone service would shut down. Cell phone service also would quickly be lost.

“Approximately 60% of the cellular towers in the U.S. have battery backup only for 2-24 hours,” the report states. “As these towers lose power, large portions of the cellular network will begin to fail. Urban and populated suburban areas are more likely to have cell towers with generator backup with fuel reserves ranging from 1-7 days, depending on location and equipment owner.”

FEMA never published the report, which is dated December 2010. Off The Grid News reached out to an expert on the grid who has frequent contact with government agencies. This person said the report appeared to be legitimate.

“This paper recreates the 1859 event today using the latest research to explain and understand: 1) The nature and effects of radio blackouts, solar radiation storms, and geomagnetic storms; 2) their potential for cascading effects on global power and telecommunications systems; and, 3) the implications for FEMA …in planning for and responding to such an event,” the report reads.

A Carrington-type event would generate massive amounts of energy that would blow out transformers. It is the replacement of these transformers that is of concern to FEMA and other government agencies. Each transformer is custom-made; there are no backup parts. It is not known how many transformers there are in the U.S., but it likely is in the tens of thousands. Each one takes up to two years to build.

“Loss of key infrastructure for extended periods due to the cascading effects from a space weather event (or other disturbance) could lead to a lack of food, given low inventories and reliance on just-in-time delivery, loss of basic transportation, inability to pump fuel, and loss of refrigeration,” is how a 2008 report from the National Academy of Sciences described the aftermath of a major solar storm.

  • 10 Survival Skills Your Great-Grandparents Knew (That Most Of Us Have Forgotten)

10 Survival Skills Your Great-Grandparents Knew (That Most Of Us Have Forgotten)

Our modern society is highly dependent upon we’ll call the “system.” Not only do we rely upon utility services to bring us electricity, water and natural gas, but also on an incredibly complex supply chain which provides us with everything from food to computers. Without that supply chain, most of us wouldn’t know what to do.

This situation is actually becoming worse, rather than better. When I compare my generation (I’m in my 50s) to that of my children, I see some striking differences. In my generation it was normal for a boy to grow up learning how to do a wide variety of trade skills from his father, and seemingly everyone knew how to do basic carpentry and mechanic work. But that’s no longer normal.

If we extrapolate it back, we can see that my father’s generation knew even more – and my grandparent’s generation even more. Those older generations were much more closely tied to the roots of an agricultural society, where people were self-reliant. There are multiple skills they had which modern society no longer considers necessary.

But if we were to have a breakdown in society, those skills which we never bothered to learn would become essential. Those who don’t know these skills would either have to learn or die trying.

    1. Gardening for Food

During World War II, there was a campaign for people to plant “Victory Gardens” at their homes. These vegetable gardens were needed to alleviate food shortages, because so much of the nation’s produce was being sent overseas to keep our troops and those of our allies fighting. With fewer men available to work the farms, there was less produce available.

This custom of having a vegetable garden in one’s backyard survived for many years after the war was over, but it gradually died out. Today, when many people think of gardening, they are thinking of a flower garden. While those are nice to look at, they don’t give you much to eat.

Starting and growing a vegetable garden can be harder than most people think. When I started gardening, it took me three years to get more than just herbs and a smattering of produce out of it. I’m glad I didn’t wait until I needed that garden for survival.

If society collapses, you can bet that the foods the pioneers ate will become dietary staples

    2. Animal Husbandry

Although the industrial revolution took place more than 100 years ago, many people continued to raise at least a small amount of their own livestock at home. This led to cities enacting ordinances limiting what animals people could keep within city limits.

Raising dogs and cats is much different than raising chickens, rabbits and goats for the table. A large part of being able to raise these animals is recognizing their needs and being able to diagnose their sicknesses. Farmers don’t depend upon the vet for most illnesses; they take care of it themselves.

    3. Food Preservation

It’s rare to find people who preserve their own foods, but in our grandparent’s generation, it was common. Canning food, smoking meats and even making one’s own sausage were all common home tasks, which ensured that people had enough food to get through the winter. Today, it’s rare to find people who know these methods of food preservation, let alone having the equipment needed.

If we go back very far in American live, pretty much every middle class home had a smokehouse for preserving meats. I’ve seen some homes where the smokehouse was actually in the kitchen chimney. Instead of building a normal chimney, they had a very wide one, with enough room to hang sides of beef in it for smoking.

    4. Blacksmithing

You might think that blacksmithing goes all the way back to the Old West, but in actuality it is a skill that stayed around much longer than that. My dad was a blacksmith in his later years, although most of the work he did was ornamental.

I remember traveling in Mexico about 20 years ago and having a spring on my car’s suspension break. A local blacksmith fashioned me a new spring, tempered and shaped exactly right for my vehicle. Blacksmiths can make or repair just about anything out of metal. Yet few today know this valuable skill.

Maybe we don’t need blacksmiths today, but if an EMP hit the country and we were without electrical power, the skills of a blacksmith would allow people to have their tools repaired — and new ones fashioned. Since the manufacturing plants presumably would be shut down, that ability would be essential for rebuilding America.

    5. Basic Carpentry

Everyone should know how to make basic repairs to their home. Without the ability to repair damage from a natural disaster, it might not be possible to use the home as a survival shelter. Woodworking skills also allow one to make furniture and other items to help survive.

    6. Basic Mechanical Repair

Depending upon the type of disaster that hits, the family car may just end up being a large paperweight. But there are many survival scenarios where it would be useful to be able to fix your car, keeping it running for general use. As long as there is gasoline, that car would be useful.

The ability to diagnose and repair an engine is useful not only for keeping a car on the road, but also for fixing lawn mowers, chain saws and other power tools.

    7. Herbal Medicine

The roots of medicine were herbal medicine. While doctors have existed for millennia, it hasn’t been until recent times that those doctors had such a wide range of pharmaceuticals to work with. Before that, doctors made their own medicines.

Many women also learned to use what nature provided for medicine. It was not uncommon a few generations back for mom to take care of her family’s medical needs, using recipes that she had learned from her mother. Today, that sort of medicine is called “old wives’ tales” but it works just as well as it always did.

    8. Horseback Riding

This may not seem like much of a survival skill, but in the Old West, stealing a man’s horse was a hanging offense. That’s because being stranded without a horse was generally a death sentence. While horseback riding today is only done for sport, if the automobile becomes no longer usable, people will be looking for horses once again.

Riding a horse is actually more complicated than the movies make it appear. Breaking a horse is a skill that few know. Likewise, there are few today, outside of the drivers for the Budweiser Clydesdales, who know how to hitch and drive a team of horses. But in America’s past, our ancestors drove teams with as many as 40 horse or mules in them.

    9. Hunting

Now, I know there are a lot of hunters out there, maybe even some who are reading this. But I have to say that a lot of what we call hunting today and what I learned as a kid are nothing alike. I have a hard time calling it hunting when corn is put out as bait and the hunter hides in a blind, waiting for their choice deer to come to eat.

Real hunting, at least what they did in the past, involved knowing the animal’s habits and staking out a place where the animals were likely to come. It required patience, understanding of the animals being hunted — and a pretty good shot with the rifle.

    10. Butchering an Animal

Raising an animal is one thing, butchering it is another. Few hunters even know how to properly butcher an animal, as most take them to a butcher for cutting up and packaging. Yet, an animal which is not properly cleaned and butchered can cause disease. You can also waste a lot of good meat by not doing it correctly.

This guide below can help you in a survival situation.

Living without power, cars, electronics or running water may seem like a nightmare scenario but to pioneers it was just the way life was. Having the skills to survive without modern conveniences is not only smart in case SHTF, it’s also great for the environment. Keep in mind that the key to a successful homestead does not only lie on being able to grow your own food but on other skills as well. Learning these skills will take time, patience and perseverance, and not all of these skills are applicable to certain situations. Hopefully, though, you managed to pick up some great ideas that will inspire you and get you started! Just like our forefathers used to do,  The Lost Ways Book teaches you how you can survive in the worst-case scenario with the minimum resources available. It comes as a step-by-step guide accompanied by pictures and teaches you how to use basic ingredients to make super-food for your loved ones.

  • 6 Off-The-Grid Secrets Of The Amish (Find an Amish Community Near Where You Live)

6 Off-The-Grid Secrets Of The Amish (Find an Amish Community Near Where You Live)

The Amish culture is alive and well in America, and we can learn a lot from their way of life.

There are approximately 300,000 Amish citizens still living an 1800s lifestyle in the United States. Amish communities exist in 30 states and Ontario, but the largest groups primarily exist in Pennsylvania, Indiana and Ohio. The pioneering attributes and skillset which many have unfortunately lost in this country are employed adeptly by the Amish, giving them quite the leg-up when the power’s down.

The ultimate off-the-grid living experts might not mingle readily with the rest of us, but in my personal experience, the Amish are very friendly and willing to share their knowledge when asked.

There is a small Amish community in my county that provides a plethora of services for area farmers and horse owners, and folks who want cabins built. Amish-made furniture, cheese and bread are always a huge hit with the tourists. I recently attended a week-long auction held in “Amish Country” in Holmes County, Ohio. Once again I was impressed by the workmanship and skills of the technology-shunning culture. The auction was not only a great place to score great deals on livestock, tack, bartering items and farming equipment, but it was also a de facto off-the-grid living school. The Amish men and women who were selling their wares during the massive auction that drew folks from around the country were eager to demonstrate both the skills necessary to accomplish the given task and how the non-electric tools and implements functioned.

    Important below:

You might be living in one of America’s deathzones and not have a clue about it
What if that were you? What would YOU do?

In the next few minutes, I’m going to show you the U.S. Nuclear Target map, where you’ll find out if you’re living in one of America’s Deathzones.

    Enhancing Your Skillset

Although there is great value in taking a class, watching videos, and reading books to enhance your self-reliance skills, spending some time in an Amish enclave offers an irreplaceable hands-on experience. In my experience, the Amish are savvy businessmen. When approached with respect and a sincere desire to learn, an Amish man would likely agree to allow you to job shadow or do a mini-apprenticeship – for a fee. If cooking, baking and preserving are on your self-sufficiency to-do list, taking a woman along is a must. Other than saying thank you and handing back change at a bake shop or produce stand, it would be extremely rare that a female Amish would interact one on one with an “English” man.

    Off The Grid Power

    amish off gri

As a rule, Amish will not utilize electricity that is tied to the land. The community near my home typically uses bottled gas to power a few industrial tools, but most tasks are still accomplished by hand. In Holmes County, the Amish have become the solar power kings and can offer great insight into the functionality, seasonal feasibility, and powering achievements of solar panels and solar generators. The Amish also utilize 12-volt self-contained batteries and hydraulic powered motors to operate major household equipment.

    Livestock

The Amish view horses as farm equipment and work with the animals on a daily basis. Horses are used to pull farm plows, as transportation, and to haul building materials. Knowing how to saddle a horse and enjoy a leisurely trail ride is wonderful, but does not mean you possess the ability needed to harness a team and drive them to accomplish food growing and building tasks. The Amish are expert horsemen (and horsewomen) in every sense of the word.  In an Amish community you will readily find a pseudo-vet, blacksmith and leather shop. Much can be learned from the skilled craftsman for folks hoping to build an off-the-grid homestead or individuals preparing for a power grid down scenario.

Building fences along with raising, caring for, butchering and preserving meat and poultry derived from common farm livestock is yet another skill we can learn from the Amish. Understanding what type of fencing is needed for specific farm animals and which ones can cohabitate safely could mean the difference between life and death when your entire food supply is dependent upon what you grow and raise on your homestead. Learning how to detect the signs of illness in livestock is also an extremely valuable bit of information to have when the animals grazing on your property will one day wind up on the dinner table.

    Off-The-Grid Farming

    smith

Modern farm equipment can be adapted to horse-drawn power, or purchased ready to roll from the Amish. Once commonplace in America, horse-drawn farm equipment became scarce after the 1940s. Amish mechanics often operate shops which both serve their community and members of the general public seeking non-gas powered farm machinery. Seeds preservation, natural fertilization procedures, crop rotation, irrigation and drought survival tips are also valuable agriculture tips we can learn from the Amish.

    Cooking, Baking and Preserving

The Amish are truly a waste-not community. If the power grid goes down and tractor-trailers stop shuttling food to the local grocery store, their lives will go on essentially unaffected. Those with businesses routinely patronized by the public or tourists will notice something is amiss fairly quickly, but their families will not go hungry, thirsty or become chilled at night. Most of the Amish use a cast-iron cook stove to prepare their food, just like our ancestors did when settling this country. The stoves are a bit pricey, but a solid investment for off-the-grid families. They last essentially forever and do not need electricity to function. Amish shops or booths attached to barns are big money-makers for the women in the community.

The breads, baked goods, homemade jams and canned produce sold at such businesses are all-natural and worth every penny. The only thing better than buying a loaf of fresh Amish bread or jam is learning how to make it yourself. If unable to work out a learning experience with an Amish woman, snag one of the cookbooks comprised of generations of old recipes and teach yourself – don’t cheat by using a conventional oven. If you do not own a cast-iron stove, buy cast-iron cookware (available at camping stores) and practice over an open fire.

    Know Before You Go

Browse the Amish country, community and settlement links below and find the right location to visit to suit your needs. Sure, closer is better, but if seeking to learn a specific off-the-grid living or preparedness skill, find a community which boasts such an expertise. While all Amish farm, some communities specialize in woodworking and blacksmithing, and they utilize alternative power in different manners – so do your homework. The dictates of the Amish culture vary by church district and so do the styles of the off-the-grid and simplistic lifestyle. Some settlements routinely deal with the public and might be more receptive than others to unannounced visits. The local travel and tourism bureau can also offer some guidance to the inner-workings of the community and how and when to best plan a visit. Dress conservatively when visiting an Amish community.

If garnering off-the-grid living tools and livestock is the primary goal, the Mount Hope Amish auction should be placed on your agenda. The Ohio auction in Holmes County takes place three times per year, with smaller produce events occurring weekly. When chatting with a self-reliance pal from Florida and sharing the details of my visit to the week-long auction and the deals I filled my vehicle with, she did the math and decided that even with flight and lodging expenses, going to Mount Hope would be highly beneficial from a self-sufficiency budget standpoint.
